What's the difference between consignment and thrift?
If you consign an item, you will get 50% of its profits and the store will get the other 50% if it sells. When consignments have not sold in six or more weeks, the consigner can choose to either reclaim the item, or donate it to the thrift shop to sell.
How do I become a consigner?
One becomes a consigner by filling out a consigner form which includes their name, address, and phone number. They are then assigned a consignment number which becomes a registered with the shop.
How do I become a member of the Topsfield-Boxford Community Club?
Membership costs $15.00 per household. Simply complete our membership form, available on this website or at the shop and mail it with your check to: Topsfield-Boxford Community Club, 7 School Avenue, Topsfield, MA 01983.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes! The Topsfield-Boxford Community club is a 501(c)(3) organization and all donations, including memberships, are tax deductible.
If I become a member, am I obligated to volunteer at the shop?
No! We are very grateful for your membership dues. They help to cover the day-to-day costs of running and maintaining the shop, but we do need folks to work at the desk and in the back room and we would love to have you join our happy, friendly staff of volunteers.
